If you’ve just recently married and had moved to your new home with your husband, there are things you need to learn in terms of house keeping. When we say home keeping, we don’t merely mean house cleaning. There are other things needed to keep your home well-managed. Here are a few tips on how you can make sure that everything is done properly.

1. Be organized. Put things in their proper places. Kitchen utensils should be in the kitchen and living room displays should be in the living room. Don’t scatter things around. If you have a lot of items that you don’t exactly know where to keep, get those big plastic boxes with wheels; they are great at getting things organized.

2. Have a daily schedule. Cleaning should be done in the morning, cooking by lunchtime and odds and ends in the afternoon. Once you get the hang of it, you can finish early and steal a nap in the afternoon. This will leave you enough time to cook dinner and still be fresh when the hubby comes home from work.

3. Buy grocery supplies by the bulk or choose family size. You can cut down the time you spend on grocery trips by making a list and by buying bigger sizes or bulk items. Remember, you are not just buying for yourself now. Family-sized toothpaste, big bottles of shampoo, soap packaged in threes and ingredients for a week-long menu will save you a lot of time and money.

4. Make a budget plan. Don’t just buy everything you see. Appropriate funds for groceries, electric and water bills and other household expenses and try not to spend more than what’s reserved for each. You should also try to reserve a certain percentage of your income for savings.
