Doing the Job for Two: How Single Mothers Can Cope with Common Problems
Being a single mother can be really challenging. After all, you’re doing a job that should have been done by two people. Working to support your child and caring for that child on your own is obviously no picnic.
It is surprising, to say the least, how many single mothers have succeeded; not only in finding a fulfilling career but also in being able to raise healthy, satisfied kids. So what’s their secret? Do they have something in them that allows them to become super moms?
There is no secret actually. Most single mothers who succeed in being a mother and being a working woman just happen to love being both. They love their job and they love their kids. Sometimes, it’s just as simple as that.
Determination is probably a character that is common among successful single mothers. The fact that they have no one to lean on to when the going gets tough makes them even more determined to make everything right.
Of course, a handful might be lucky enough to have strong support from their parents, family members and friends. Having a good education to rely on also helps when the time comes to find a job.
Being a single mother is not easy, but a lot of women are getting really good at it. After all, being a mother, with or without a partner, is a talent that is inherent in every woman.
